Prasad Hospital, founded by Dr.Venkatesh Prasad and Dr. P.V. Poornima, from a humble beginning in the year 1994 as a Primary care clinic in the township of Gouribidanur, 80 kms away from Bangalore. The clinic was further upgraded with the addition of a Diagnostic Laboratory. In 1997, a Secondary Care Centre was inaugurated, which had facilities of a major Operation Theatre (OT), Diagnostic Laboratory and Treatment Facility for common ailments. Within a span of 3 years, PRASAD HOSPITAL was moved into a new complex which had additional facilities including provision for ICU Care, Emergency Medicine and for the first time Super-Speciality Care was introduced in this hospital to the people of Gouribidanur.

With the above experience of 18 years, the promoters ventured into Yelahanka, Bangalore. A Tertiary Care Centre with a 100-bed capacity was conceived, built and commissioned in June 2011. This facility includes Cardiac Care, Dialysis, fully fledged Operating Theatres (OTs), and association with the healthcare providers who have expertise in individual fields like Neurology, Ophthalmology and Oncology Surgery.
